Love is in the Air

...and so are colder temperatures!  (By cold, I mean FREEZING!)  It's not weather that this California girl is used to and I feel completely ill-prepared!  My two warmest jackets (which I sweat in on the coldest CA days), I am shaking in here.  I thought they would suffice, but that is definitely not the case!  It seems though, that the hunt for a warmer, longer jacket that won't brake the bank is a much harder task than expected!

In other news, Nico and Val celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last week and are heading to the country for a weekend away tomorrow, so grandpa and I are on kiddy duty this weekend.  What this means is that Grandpa is on kiddy duty, and I am on meal duty, lucky me!  On the menu for tomorrow is homemade chili and cornbread, I hope they like it!  The kids and I decided to do something special for mom and dad on their special day, so I included some pictures of our surprise!

We are currently "decorating" the house for Halloween!  Meaning we are coloring loads of pumpkins, ghosts, witches, draculas, you name it and putting them up all over the house.  The kids are loving it, not sure if Nico and Val like the new "monsters" stuck above their bed, but just a few more days and it's on to Thanksgiving decorations!

That's about all I have to report on, the week has been pretty uneventful for the most part!  Tomorrow marks the beginning of a long school break for the kids (almost 2 weeks!).  Lucky me, I suppose, the kids are going to a daycare program all next week from 9 am to 6 pm, so I am watching them for even less time than normal!  That means lots of free time, and lots of exploring, and I am open to suggestions!  Where should I go?  What should I see?  You tell me! (in Paris, of course)

I leave you with a few of my latest pictures, enjoy!

They were filming a movie right behind my house!
